Super Smash Bros Gamecube Bundle?

With Super Smash Bros being prepared for release just in time for Christmas, Amazon have listed a special bundle for the game including a GameCube controller adapter and a branded controller for $99 (£60). Officially the bundle hasn’t been announced by Nintendo, so we don’t know whether if the bundle is coming to Europe, but we’re sure it will. Nintendo announced earlier this year an adapter which would allow GameCube controllers be used on the Wii U, so this all seems to make sense. Of course with any Europe release, we’re sure that we will be charged more. So expect the actual cost of the bundle to be around the...

Remember Spyro?

It’s annoying when some of the best games are modernised to the point where they’re not recogniseable anymore. That’s exactly what happened to Spyro the Dragon, and there’s no doubt that The Legend of Spyro certainly killed the franchise. Spyro now only makes minor appearances in Skylanders and it’s quite crazy to think that it was one of the most popular PS2 games, but here we are with the PS4 and it’s nowhere to be seen. The games were changed too much for most peoples’ liking and the Legend of Spyro was dark and nothing quite like the previous world we all remember. It’s a shame to think that Spyro...

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal

Sonic has been changed quite a lot over the years and in Sonic Boom he’s taller than ever, but not quite as tall as Knuckles. It’s clear to see that the visuals are better than ever but that’s not really what deems the success of a Sonic game. It has to be quick, fun and addictive, and this is the large big chance for sonic to succeed. This time round you can shoot through levels using a slingshot, while Metal Sonic is set to make an appearance. This game will definitely take some time to get used to if you haven’t played a sonic title since you had a SEGA...

News out of the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014

Every year, all of the top game designers and producers trot out all of their most highly anticipated productions of the year at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition. This expo goes on every year, but this last one was particularly exciting, as the first expo since the release of the new gen of consoles. Many of the game producers are beginning to get more comfortable with designing games which fully utilise the new capabilities the new consoles have, so there has been some huge improvements in terms of technical capacity since last year. Some of the games are from our favourite game franchises, such as Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain,...

e-sports

Originally to games on a PC with your friends you had to set up a LAN party. This required you to be in close quarters with all your friends to be able to connect to each computer. However, with rising internet infrastructure, there has been a rise in online gaming. With most games (which allow it), you can now connect to the internet to play with anybody, from anywhere in the world. This led to games such as World of Warcraft, SWTOR and Guild Wars etc. However, some of the more popular titles are not typical role-playing games such as these. DOTA-2, League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are...
