Farpoint is a fairly ordinary first person shooter game that really comes to life because of its virtual reality. The aim controller provides the feel of a real gun and the shooting is quite satisfying once you get going. The 360 degree sound capabilities are so good that you can even pinpoint enemy locations by sound alone.

The experience of oversized arachnids coming at you is quite terrifying and exhilarating. The adrenaline rush is second to none and makes the game fun and addictive and is its major selling point.

The plot is quite straightforward and thin as it taps into the exhausted narrative of people up against aliens and has just a single boss fight.

Farpoint falls short of expectations and is honestly a miss by Sony. However, it serves for a truly immersing VR experience and is, therefore, a game worth taking a look at given VR is still a new concept to gaming.
