An insight into Persona 5 Royal

A strong franchise in Japan for many years, Persona 5 was the first of its series to truly delight Western gamers. Think about it… it sold millions of copies and won critical acclaim. Put simply it was big news.

Set in present-day Tokyo, where you experience the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you play as Joker, a student at Shujin Academy falsely accused of assault. Joker is also a kind of superhero – he must attack the minds of adults with malicious intent to change their minds. (If it sounds a little weird, that’s because it actually is). Persona 5 Royal is an odd game with touches of humour and addictive qualities, but it’s also a rather grand edition of the classic. Some will love it, some will hate it. But it will introduce new characters, new story elements, new boss battles and so much more. It’s well worth buying though and we’d be keen to see what you think!
